The Sardar Sarovar Construction Advisory Committee (SSCAC) has representatives from all the party States in addition to the representatives from the Government of India and the Narmada Control Authority. The SSCAC is monitoring the works of dam and hydropower complex with a view to ensure efficient, economical and timely execution of the Project. The works of main canal and distribution system does not come under the purview of SSCAC. Works related to Resettlement and Rehabilitation and Environmental measures comes under the direct purview of Narmada Control Authority. The progresses of works, which are primarily concerned with SSCAC, are briefly given hereunder. |
