The Deputy Secretary, SSCAC is having three nos. of Assistant Secretaries
and one Assistant Engineer working under his control.
All the files put up to Secretary, SSCAC are sent through Deputy Secretary.
The Deputy Secretary is performing following works independently:
a) Duties as Head of Office
i) Delegated the power of the Head of office for Group-'C' &
'D' and controlling officer in respect of
Non-Gazetted Staff of SSCAC.
ii) Passing/approving all Government Bills like telephones, electricity,
petty expenditure, Imprest, all
Bills of Group-'C' & 'D' as per power delegated to
HOD.
iii) Authorised to sanction leave and other service matters for
Group-'C' & 'D' staff of SSCAC.
iv) Authorised to keep control on T&P articles of SSCAC.
v) Control on Attendance Register of Group-'C' & 'D' staff.
b) Duties as Vigilance Officer of SSCAC
i) Nominated as Vigilance Officer of SSCAC.
ii) Sending Returns and other matters to MOWR.
c) Duties as Grievance Redressal Officer of SSCAC
i) Nominated as Grievance Redressal Officer of SSCAC.
ii) Sending Return and other matters to MOWR.
d) Duties as Grievance Redressal Officer of SC/ST staff of SSCAC
i) Nominated as Grievance Redressal Officer of SC/ST.
ii) Sending Returns and other matters to MOWR.
e) Duties as Chairman of Redressal of Sexual
Harassment of Woman at work place (SSCAC).
f) Departmental Selection Committee
i) Nominated as Chairman of Departmental Selection Committee
for Group-'C' & 'D' staff.
ii) Finalisation of candidates for Group-'C' and 'D' posts of
SSCAC.
g) Visit to Project sites
i) Visit to Sardar Sarovar Project (Unit-I & III) for monitoring
the progress of the project.
d) Organising of meetings
i) SSCAC meetings.
ii) PSC of SSCAC meetings.
iii) Monitoring Committee meetings. Nominated as Grievance Redressal
Officer of SC/ST.
